Review by hotel critic
Nestled just a stone's throw from the city center, the Osney Arms offers a unique blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. As I approached this beautifully converted former pub, I was greeted by the inviting ambiance that permeated the property. The check-in process was seamless, with clear self-entry instructions making my arrival hassle-free. Upon entering my room, I appreciated the thoughtful details like the comfortable king-size bed, complete with an ensuite that provided ample space. The presence of a fan was particularly appreciated, given the soaring summer temperatures. Breakfast was a self-service delight, with a wide array of cereals and refreshments available. I found the communal breakfast setting to be an enjoyable experience, as I mingled with fellow guests while being attended to by staff quick to replenish our needs. The proximity to several local bars and restaurants, such as the nearby Currydor and the Punter, added extra convenience for evening outings.
